  I have been a nurse for many years and have dealt with all sorts of MD. this one is not only the worst but extremely scarry. My father was seeing her and even though we wanted him to change he refused. She is a family practice that was manageing my Dad's COPD...go figure, should have been referred to a Specialist. I called her office when he was first d/c from hosp to get referral (why did I have to do that?) it was still almost 3 mo before he had an appt. Why does a very sick man have to wait 3 mos. She tried to tell me that there are only 2 Pulm in Victoria, they only see 2 pt's a day, and are both on vacation at the same time. I spoke with the Pulm in Victoria and they were shocked that she would say that. My dad had been showing increasing signs of confusion. Her reponse was to put him in a nursing home. A few days later he was not waking up. My mother called her office 3 times before she called her back. I had to initiate the transfer to a hospital with a Pulm on call and then had to call her office and tell her staff this is what we wanted. Her office person argued that the Pulm MD only sees Pt's in ICU (that is a crock, but I was certain my dad was headed to ICU anyway.) I still insisted that he be tranferred and her office help hung up on me. He was trans to hosp in the end, was diagnosed with PNEMONIA, put on IVAB, and is alert, talking, and doing great. Good thing we didn't listen to her and put him in a nursing home to die. The Pulm MD said he is very healthy considering the COPD and feels he deserves every opportunity. If you want to Kill your loved one, this is the MD to go to.
